LFA, in partnership with Architecture LGBT+ and Freehold, were proud to bring the #Proudspeaker project from the oo Office to life, marching the streets of London as part of Pride, and flying the flag for pride in the built environment. Alongside sponsors Brookfield Properties, Eastern City BID, and London & Partners, around 200 of us were proudly taking to the streets to share our Voices, and the voices of our community, with the world.
The original design competition asked designers to submit proposals that would respond to the LFA2025 theme of ‘Voices’ in a manner that would uplift the voices of the community and create a moving pride float suitable for Pride in London.
The winners, oo Office, submitted Proudspeaker, citing it as far more than a float—but as a sculptural statement, a mobile monument to queer resilience, and a powerful expression of Voices.
